Health Careers Exploration MedQuest Program Burlington, VT

Description: This is a Champlain Valley AHEC Program. MedQuest is an intensive, residential (five night, six day) Health Careers Exploration program held on the University of Vermont(UVM) campus in Burlington, VT, with career exploration opportunities for students interested in gaining more knowledge of the health care field through job shadows, workshops, CPR certification, interactions with medical students and health care professional, and much more. Students will travel to each of the three local hospitals in our area for the job shadows and to learn what each hospital has to offer for employment.
Notes: Applications for MedQuest will be available online and sent to school guidance counselors, science teachers, VSAC Outreach Counselors in December and will be due in February (check www.cvahec.org for specific dates). A selection committee will review all completed applications in February. Students will then be selected to participate in one of the two MedQuest Programs.
